Swim, Walk, Surf & Cinema

Tuesday 9th August: another day spent in Burleigh Heads. To start with Jen went for a bit of a run followed by swimming in the pool with Calum. We had all just found out about the riots in London despite them going on for the last three days! Les stayed in the apartment for a bit and watched the news.

We then went on a walk around the Burleigh Heads national park including walking up to various view stops. Everyone is so friendly and helpful all the time. We got a young lad who was with his mates to photograph us.


We also found some great spots to see the surfers


And we found some great quiet beaches



Back to the hotel for a snack before returning to the beach for sunbathing and for Calum and Les to enjoy the surf.

We've all just showered, and are preparing to go to the cinema this evening.

Quick update, we went to see 'Rise of the Planet of the Apes' - brilliant! Well worth seeing even if you don't know the original films. If you do know those films, it answers a lot of questions.

Last day in Burleigh Heads tomorrow so we're off to Sea World followed by Surfers Paradise for the last time.
