Heads you win, Tails you Roo's

Sunday 7th August: Spent the morning in Burleigh Heads on the beach near the hotel. Calum spent most of his time soaking up the surf with his body board and was soon joined on the water by Jen. Both got seriously wiped out by huge waves and Calum got hit by someone riding a surfboard that didn't see him. Neither got hurt though. Les found a comfortable rock to lean against and just soaked up the sun. The temperature was in the high 20's again and beautifully sunny. Come lunchtime we had enough of the sea and sand and decided to head up state a little to the 'Carrara Markets' a huge outdoor/indoor Sunday Market where you could get just about anything.

Also there was a small snake display including several of the worlds most poisonous snakes. They were there to advertise a new reptile centre opening soon. Les also found the biggest and best radio controlled boats he had ever seen. Sadly Jen wouldn't let him buy one!

We also saw Kangaroo skins for sale, including the tail. Lovely and soft but you would feel so guilty owning one! (Roo's you lose).

Whilst there we grabbed a bite to eat and played best and worse bit of the holiday so far. Jen said the best bit for her was being in the incredible waves today! Calum said his best bits are to many to mention but he gave his best bits from everywhere we had been. Les's best bit was finding out the graffiti could be taken off the door of the car the previous day and wouldn't cost him £1000!

After the Market we headed back to Burleigh Heads and wandered up the Burleigh Head National Park with spectacular views of the sun setting:

After wandering round it's back to the hotel for the worst Pizza Les has ever eaten in his life! Not Jen's fault just a really awful pizza.

We're off to Warner Bros Movie World tomorrow, can't wait;
